Corn on the cob only gets better if you add zippy, buttery spice and a touch of char from the grill before you serve it. Here’s my favorite, but this recipe is very flexible so design your own!
Ingredients
- 1 Fresh corn on the cob
- 1 TBSP Melted butter or olive oil
- 1 TBSP Trader Joe’s Chili Lime Seasoning Blend, approximately
- 1 tsp Ground Cumin
- ½ tsp Smoked black pepper ground
- 1 tsp Chives, Fresh or dried chopped
Instructions
Shuck and rinse the corn, removing stray silk before drying it well with a paper towel.
Place on a pan or tray that you can use to prepare and carry to/from the grill.
Spray corn with Pam, turning to get all sides.
Drizzle corn lightly with olive oil or melted butter turning each ear to distribute the oil. Some will run off but enough will remain to hold the seasoning and caramelize
Sprinkle each ear (turning to get all sides ) with a liberal amount of Trader Joe’s Chili Lime Seasoning Blend.
Continue seasoning all sides of the corn evenly with smaller amounts of cumin, smoked black pepper, and chives.
Grill on a hot grill over flame—not a griddle—turning about every 5 minutes to char each side lightly. Serve immediately.
